Toddlers
Program
Learning Objectives
Toddlers learn best when presented with opportunities to exercise new skills within the environment and process the are familiar with (PLAY!). Your toddler will work on small and large motor skills, language, and social emotional skills in a group environment by participating in activities designed to progress development.
Each day in the classroom is supplemented with active time to explore and learn about the world around them. Responsive caregivers will facilitate learning by challenging your child to get to the next level of each area of development. Reading, singing, and art are all regular parts of the day.
Potty Training?
Our toddler classrooms have attached bathrooms with child sized toilets and sinks. Classrooms are also equipped with a changing table and storage for bags and diapers. When you feel like your child is ready, our staff will work with you to potty train your child to keep consistency between home and school. Toddlers who are not yet potty trained will be checked and changed every 1 1/2 hours. This is a part of routine daily care.
It is the job of our staff to make sure your child’s daily needs are met. Routine care also includes breakfast, lunch and a snack prepared at our facility as well as an opportunity to rest during nap time after lunch. The only thing you will be asked to provide for your child are diapers and a change of clothes.
